21st Century Environmental Health Intern

Kareemah McQueen (she/her) is interested in increasing her knowledge of environmental health research and how certain environmental contaminants can affect human health. She gained laboratory research experience through internships. She is a senior at North Carolina Central University and a 21st-century Environmental Health Scholar intern. Kareemah will help collect well water samples in the field. She will also help conduct tests, assays, and analyses for possible water contaminants within the water samples. Kareemah wants to continue her research education through graduate school. Kareemah loves hiking, swimming, and spending time with her family and friends.
